AL BROWN

The Grand Escape, ‘Shot on iPhone’ ad for Apple.

A high octane skate film, shot at The Grand Bazaar, Istanbul.

Eat your heart out Bond! Targeted at Gen Z to promote the filming capabilities of the iPhone 14 Pro.

Currently on over 66 million views and counting. And currently Apple's 3rd most viewed ad of all time globally.

The skate film was combined with a skatepark take-over in Istanbul and fly posters to add to the authenticity of the campaign.

Recently the film was inducted into MOMA, New York.

Not bad for a product demo!

All car launch adverts showcase the new model in a beautiful way.

So for Land Rover’s new Defender launch, we decided to smash it up instead.

Huge props to the head client at Land Rover, Jeremy, for buying this idea. You may recognise the soundtrack.

‘Now that’s how you do a car advert!’ - Chris Harris, Top Gear

Full multi touchpoint BTS campaign.

Google’s most successful campaign globally for 2025.

Nina explains it best below….

The FA Cup is a football tournament in the UK where all the leagues compete. So you get giants like Manchester United playing tiny league teams, who are so small the players have second jobs like milkmen and firemen. Proper David and Goliath stuff.

This campaign hit such an emotional cord with the British public that a 48 sheet ‘Milkman’ billboard was ripped down by Leeds Untied fans. Moments earlier they had been knocked out of the competition by a postman playing for Yeovil Town.

The power of an emotional truth!

Traid are one of the largest chains of charity clothes stores in the UK. They wanted to be seen as a cool place to get vintage clothes, not just a charity shop like Oxfam and the others.

NB. Clothes not models own

The classic multi-award winning Virgin Atlantic poster brief. Always single-minded, bold and graphic. A joy to work on.

I made this charity ad when I was working at BBDO in the Philippines. Shot by a great local director called Joel Limchoc and shortlisted for a Cannes film Lion.

Cheeky tactical for the iconic Lionesses’s Euro 2025 win.

24 hour turnaround. Agile and reactive.

Social film made for fans of Love Island series 12, we cast the iconic contestant, Yasmin Pettet, and her twin sister Zara.

If you loved the series, you’ll get it;)

It was one of Google’s most watched films on instagram and TikTok in 2025, with 4.1 million views.

This ad was shot by the excellent Kim Gehrig at Somesuch. Most of the cast had no acting experience at all.

It also seems Tinie Tempah was a huge fan!

A 360 degree campaign idea for Thatchers Cider that has now been running for over 3 years in the UK and has been communicated across all parts of the Thatchers brand.

Bloody nice pint too!

Starring the popular British comedian Rob Brydon, this campaign features a hapless producer and his assistant in their attempt to get all the BBC shows ready for Christmas. Let’s just say it doesn’t quite go to plan.

A heartwarming campaign that got the whole nation excited for the Christmas Season.

Two press ads for the Guardian through DDB.

The later garnered a record number of complaints from Liverpudlians.

But strangely the former, zero complaints from dinosaurs.

There is a 30% decline in beer drinking. So the Brewers Association, made up of all the UK’s biggest breweries, asked us to create a big TV spot promoting the golden tipple. The music was recorded live with the incredible Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Millions of Amazon’s boxes are delivered around the world daily. So we had the idea to utilise the box tape as media space.

But not to advertise, support causes instead.

Rainbow tape is fresh off the conveyor belt and will coincide with Pride 2022.

This was the launch for Connected TV, the BBC's answer to TiVo (or Sky Plus). Naturally we enrolled the help of a scouse panda and a dashing young thespian.

No middle aged man can appreciate the refined VW Passat without purging his midlife crisis urges first. We all know that. This multi-award winning campaign comprised of a website, viral film, online test, interactive rich media ads, the lot. All done with as little taste as possible.

A cool, little viral I shot for Levis at BBH. A cold, rainy night in Peckham made to look like downtown New York City.

I work alongside the underground illustrator, Russell Taysom, to concept and produce gig posters for artists all over the world. Past artists have included Slaves (Soft Play), Nova Twins, Shame, Warmduscher, The Black Lips, Deap Vally and Japandroids.

Philips were sponsoring the World Cup, so we created an online game that takes you from street football in Brazil to the World Cup Final.

It got over 7 million unique plays and became a viral sensation.

If only England could have been half as successful!

This campaign continues to be the global strategy for Amazon Prime 6 years on.

It was the first time ever that an agency outside of America had lead the TV advertising for Amazon. And also made Jeff Bezos realise the potential of emotionally led advertising.

His tweet below was great to see for the whole team.

Here’s my favourite ad from the campaign.

A supercharged press and OOH ad for Audi, whilst at BBH.

Meet D-Love, aka. Gary White, aka. the face of BBC Digital Radio. He's half Barry White, half Thunderbird puppet, and he has more outfits than Lady Gaga. He also has a pet dove.

The hand puppeteers operating D-Love were the same team that worked on Labyrinth, The Muppets and Ridley Scott’s Prometheus. It was a pleasure to work alongside them.

One of Britain’s most loved brands needed a new positioning, and creative idea.

We made it.

Shhhhhhush…a cinema spot for Google Pixel x Odeon, that ran in the lead up to the Wicked II premiere.

We’d tell you the end, but no spoilers allowed.

A cheeky Christmas campaign created for the high-street retailer Red 5.

Photography by the incredible Alan Powdrill.

My first ever billboard at DDB for VW.

I was commissioned to give President Trump a warm welcome when he arrived in the UK recently.

Distributed on placards amongst the protest crowd and on 5000 fly posters around London.

To date their has been 1000’s of shares online and over 200,000 likes across social media.

#lessgunsmoreglitter

According to the fly poster company it is also the most ripped down poster in their history. A major compliment.
